Michael Lynch is a seasoned medical device product development professional with over 30 years in the field. His breadth of experience provides a comprehensive understanding of the product lifecycle of medical devices, including a diverse range of products from high volume disposable drug delivery systems to orthopedic implants, as well as electro-mechanical capital equipment. For these systems, he has managed the product development process from concept through full scale manufacture. Lynch’s career also includes mentoring teams in product development strategies and tactics including the use of Quality Function Deployment and Risk Assessment to ensure the successful translation of Voice of the Customer to product specifications. His strategic development experience includes implementing ISO 14971 risk management systems, developing stage/gate product development systems, building teams of engineers and designers, patent portfolio assessment and planning, and performing due diligence for acquisitions. Lynch is co-inventor on 5 US patents, and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering University of Michigan Ann Arbor.
