Gregory Fischer is a faculty member in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and the Director of the Automation and Interventional Medicine (AIM) Robotics Laboratory where his research focuses on medical robotics, specifically the use of real time feedback to guide surgical procedures. He is also the Director of the PracticePoint Research and Development Center for Healthcare Cyberphysical Systems, a research, development, and commercialization alliance founded to advance healthcare technologies. Fisher received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2008 where he was part of the NSF Engineering Research Center for Computer Integrated Surgery and the JHU Laboratory for Computational Science and Robotics (LCSR).
